Description
In this story from Spain, we find ourselves in a small village where three silver church bells no longer ring because people have stopped being kind and generous. Everyone in the village, including the king and queen, tries to make the bells ring, but no one succeeds. Finally, two poor boys discover the secret to making silver bells ring once again. Through their actions, we learn about the power of selflessness and generosity.
Silver Bells is fully bilingual with translations presented on each page to support language learning. At the end of the story, vocabulary quizzes and in-depth questions are presented in both languages to encourage further reflection about the story and support extended language practice. Stunning illustrations throughout make this a delightful reading experience that will keep children coming back again and again – in either language!
